DoesQA Check Not Displayed step node: Check an element is not displayed

Check Not Displayed

Prove content hides when it should

Check Not Displayed confirms an element is not shown on the page. Use it after an action that should hide content, or to prove a block stays hidden.

Use it where things should go away:

  • Error banners and modals after dismissal

  • Loading spinners and overlays

  • Content hidden for signed-out users

Check Not Displayed pairs with Check Displayed on other branches, and Check Does Not Exist when the element should leave the DOM. Use Wait For Element To Not Be Displayed to wait for a spinner first.
