Why we started DoesQA
We've been building software since 2001 and championing quality the whole time. We watched test automation fail to deliver the return it promised, often ending up as unreliable, buggy code testing more unreliable, buggy code, on runners that could have been faster, cleaner and fairer on cost. In 2022 we stopped waiting for someone else to build it.
Great QA isn't complicated. Give a good team time, budget and freedom, and they'll reach incredible levels of quality. But that's only open to big, well-funded companies with flexible deadlines, and even they pay heavily in time and money before they see any return. Zoom out and every team needs the same few things: realistic user interactions, strong assertions, and easy ways to handle the hard parts like emails, APIs and payment providers. Put that in one box and everyone benefits. So we built the box.
The problems we solved
Simple, not limited. Most no-code tools make testing simple by limiting what you can test. We do the opposite: we take the complicated things and make them simple. Where something can't be boiled down to one step, usually because two teams would want it done differently, you can drop in your own code at that exact point and keep everything else as building blocks. So anything you could test with Playwright, you can test with DoesQA. All steps
No duplication. Most test suites copy the same journey into dozens of tests, so one login change means editing all of them. In DoesQA, Flows branch where journeys differ and shared steps live in Step Groups. Update once and every Flow follows. Flow Builder
No maintenance debt. Test code becomes a second product to maintain, often buggier than the one it tests. DoesQA is codeless, so there's nothing to break when your stack moves on. Lowest maintenance
100% consistent runners. Shared runners leave cookies and state behind, so tests pass or fail because of whatever ran before. Every DoesQA Test Case gets a fresh machine that's created, used and destroyed, never to run again. Platform
No paying for idle runners. Teams pay for runners that sit idle most of the day, then hit a cap the moment everything needs to run. We built our own infrastructure so it never holds you back: machines spin up when your tests need them and disappear when they're done.
The hard parts, built in. Emails, REST APIs, back-office systems and payment providers like Adyen usually need custom code. In DoesQA they're steps, so one journey can go from storefront to checkout to the customer's inbox. Email testing
No flaky waits. Tests fail on timing, not real bugs, and teams stop trusting the results. DoesQA's smart waits handle loading and hydration without sleeps. Zero flakiness
Testing for the whole team. Coded frameworks lock testing up with a few developers. Flows read like the journey they test, so anyone on the team can build and review them. Code vs codeless
Failures you can actually debug. A red build that only says something failed wastes hours. Results show exactly which step failed and why. Platform
No lock-in. Nobody wants to be trapped in a tool. Your tests and data stay yours. No lock-in
Every browser, not just Chrome. Real cross-browser runs, without a second setup to maintain. Cross-browser testing
Value from day one. Big QA projects deliver nothing until the framework is built. With DoesQA your first Flow runs on day one. Start trial
The story so far
We founded DoesQA in 2022, and Superdry soon became our first big-name customer because they shared our obsession with quality. They're still with us today. Since then, teams have trusted DoesQA with over 7 million Runs, and we're approved and used by the UK Government. We're bootstrapped and profitable, so we answer to our customers, not investors. And if you're reading this, there's a good chance someone recommended us, because word of mouth is how we've grown. We're one of the only providers in our market hosted in the UK, on AWS in London, and we are Cyber Essentials certified. Meet our customers.
