Check JSON Value reads a stored Value that holds JSON and compares part of it with what you expect. Match exactly or check that it contains your fragment, with no custom parsing.

Nested data from a previous step
IDs and statuses before they are reused
Check JSON Value pairs with Check JSON Schema when the overall shape matters too, and with GET, POST or PUT to fetch the data. Use Alias Value to reuse a field later.
