DoesQA Check Disabled step node: Check an element is disabled

Check Disabled

Prove controls stay locked until they should unlock

Check Disabled confirms an element is disabled. Use it when a control should stay inactive until the user completes a prerequisite.

Use it on gated actions:

  • Submit buttons on incomplete forms

  • Destructive actions awaiting confirmation

  • Steps in a wizard that come later

Check Disabled pairs with Check Enabled once the prerequisite is met, and Check Not Clickable for controls blocked by overlays. Use Wait For Element To Be Disabled when the state changes after an action.
