Use it wherever numbers change:
Totals, tax and discounts at checkout
Quantities and amounts before a form submit
Rounded figures for display checks
Calculate Value pairs well with Store Element Text to capture the numbers, Check Text to compare the result with the page and Alias Value to give it a second name.
